The Ephrata Farmers Day Association will engage police, EMS, guards, and traffic directors to protect the safety of the visitors, exhibits, and concessions at the fair. The Association assumes no liability for personal injury or for loss or damage to any property of the exhibitors, concessionaires, or patrons due to theft, fire, vandalism, weather conditions, or other causes.
Handicapped parking is available in the West Franklin Street parking lot, Lake Street (except parade night), Borough Hall with entrance from Fulton St. and the Ephrata National Bank off of Locust Street (after banking hours). All lots are controlled by local Boy or Girl Scouts and will have a parking fee charged by them. All handicap locations that we arrange are within the perimeter of the Wednesday night parade so any parking therein will have restricted exit until the parade is finished.
Portable toilets will be located at various locations convenient to the midway and Tent City. A handicapped portable toilet and a baby changing station will be located on the south side of the Fair building on S. State Street.
Tent City in the Ephrata Tom Grater Park features Agriculture as well as locally grown Fruits and Vegetables. These exhibits include livestock, grain, and numerous contests.
The Commercial Vendor Exhibits are also in this area.
Delicious food is available at the Ephrata Area Young Farmers Association’s refreshment stand along with other non-profit organizations from Tuesday through Friday evening.
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm a free shuttle bus will be provided from uptown at the corner of Arch Street and W. Main Street to Tent City The pick up spot at Tent City will be the corner of Vine and King St. by the swimming pool.
On Wednesday the bus will run from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. In addition to the regular stops, the bus will stop at Cornerstone Mennonite Church on Oak Street and at the Ephrata Borough. Free parking for Senior Citizens attending Senior Day is available at the Church. This bus will be handicap accessible.
Ephrata Ambulance Association will staff a medical station with ambulances located at the east end of the Midway. In the event of an emergency, please go to this location or the Fair office.
Please Note: Ephrata Borough Ordinance:
PROHIBITED ANIMAL All animals, domesticated or other, including but not limited to dogs, cats, snakes, birds, pigs, sheep or other livestock not directly involved in the formal fair exhibitions, events or activities.
(A) No person shall bring, carry, accompany, convey or transport any prohibited animal or animals upon or over any portion of the public right-of-way, including the paved cartway and sidewalk areas, of a fair street during the Ephrata Fair Week commencing at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until 12:00 midnight Saturday.
(B) No person shall bring, carry, accompany, convey or transport any prohibited animal or animals upon or over any portion of the public area known as the “Railroad Station” parking lot property located on East Main Street during the Ephrata Fair Week commencing at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until 12:00 midnight Saturday.
This ordinance does not apply to a service animal as defined by ADA requirements for Service Animals that assist the handicapped. Any person found guilty of violating this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not more than $600.00.
